Trisha to work with Pratik in next

The latest news making the rounds is that Trisha has signed her second film in Bollywood. She’ll be once again playing Jessie in the Hindi remake of her superhit Gautham Vasudev Menon flick Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya (VTV).

Sources close to the development confirmed that Trisha has signed for the film and that shoot will start in August. Pratik, who debuted as the second hero in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, will be playing the hero, a role made memorable by Silambarasan in Tamil.

When contacted, Trisha refused to comment and said that it was too early to talk about it. Gautham Menon, who will be directing the Hindi version too, is tight lipped about it, as there is many a slip between the cup and the lip. But, our sources have confirmed that the film, produced by Ambica Hinduja, will start in the middle of August in Malta, where the original was shot.

Meanwhile, Trisha is currently on a Mediterranean cruise, in a Titanic-like ship with three decks, shooting with Kamal Haasan for Manmadhan Ambu. Last week, the actress was in Paris shooting for the same film, and then the unit went to Monte Carlo to join the cruise. Madhavan and Sangitha, who are also part of the film, will fly to a European destination today from Chennai to join the cruise.

Trisha told TOI, “Please don’t ask me anything about the film. I’m enjoying every moment of it and it is great fun and informative working with Kamal sir. I admire his intelligence and knowledge on any subject under the sun”.

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan have requested her to come to Mumbai for the promotions of Khatta Meeta. Says her publicist, “Trisha will be coming to Mumbai five days before the release of Khatta Meeta. She has already requested director K S Ravikumar to give her break from the European schedule.”
